What Is an NFC Bible Verse Card?

An NFC Bible verse card is a small card with an NFC chip inside. Hold a compatible smartphone near the card and it can open a link without a QR code, battery or app.

What is the card for?

The wristbands are made to be worn. The card gives you another way to keep Scripture close when you do not want to wear anything. It can stay in a wallet, Bible, bag, desk, car or another place you reach for often.

How do you use it?

Unlock an NFC-enabled smartphone and hold it near the card. When the notification appears, tap it to open the Daily Bible Verse page.

On many iPhones the NFC reader is near the top of the phone. On Android phones the antenna location varies by model. If it does not scan immediately, move the back of the phone slowly across the card and try again without a thick case.

Does the card need to be charged?

No. The NFC chip is passive and does not use a battery, so there is nothing to charge.

Does it need an app?

No. The link opens in the phone’s browser after the NFC notification is tapped.
